Product Information On Spectracide Garden Insect Killer

Killing pests without poisoning potential food is a delicate balancing act.

Garden pesticides must be effective without poisoning fruits and vegetables. Spectracide says its Garden Insect Killer is specifically designed for use where food is grown and targets pests without leaving a toxic residue on produce. Does this Spark an idea?

Use

Spectracide says the product kills more 100 insects on contact and is safe to use on fruits and vegetables. It is available in both a ready-mixed spray formula and a concentrate that will treat up to 5,000 square feet per 32-ounce bottle.

Hazards

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services rates Spectracide Garden Insect Killer as a low health risk. Although it doesn't leave residue on the plants, you should avoid inhaling the spray or getting it on your skin or in your eyes. If you have a pre-existing skin disorder, contact with Spectracide Garden Insect Killer may aggravate it.
