Natural Food Gifts

Natural food gifts can be given to anyone who appreciates such food products. Natural food products can also be given to those who have food allergies and must avoid chemicals and preservatives found in processed, prepackaged foods. You can spend as little or as much as your budget allows on such gifts, depending on where you make your purchase. Does this Spark an idea?

Chocolates

Natural chocolates, often made with higher quality ingredients than those used by large, multinational chocolate manufacturers, can be purchased at health food supermarkets, specialty food stores and chocolate shops. Generally speaking, such chocolates contain fewer preservatives, which places them in the natural food category. You can purchase different types of natural chocolates and your own gift basket or box and assemble your own natural chocolate gift. To save time, you can also purchase a natural chocolate gift basket already assembled or buy an assortment of such chocolates in the manufacturer's decorative box.

Fruit and Nuts

The freshest fruit and nut natural gifts can be purchased directly from farms. Farms often have days when they open to the public or have on-site farm markets for visitors to purchase natural, farm-fresh goods. Fruit and nut farms sell their products in both large and small quantities and often sell locally made products such as jams, juices, candies and baked goods, made with the ingredients that they grow. Alternatively, fruit and nuts purchased at roadside stands in the states for which they well known, make highly valued, natural food gifts. Peaches purchased at roadside stands in Georgia or pecans purchased in South Carolina, for example, make interesting gifts that come with a story to tell.

Cheese and Crackers

Natural cheese and crackers can also be purchased from natural food supermarkets. Natural cheeses are made from the milk of dairy cows raised on organic feed on farms that use few chemicals. Natural crackers are made with organic flour, high quality, organic oils and contain few or no preservatives. Cheese and crackers can be arranged on a serving tray as a ready-to-eat gift or presented in a basket or box.

Hand-Delivering versus Sending Natural Food Gifts

Taste sets natural food gifts apart from pre-packaged food gifts. That being said, the sooner a natural food gift lands in the hands of the recipient, the better. When it comes to giving fruit and nut gifts, some farms offer overnight mailing of gift purchases. Natural chocolates can also be mailed to recipients by regular mail, assuming the chocolates are manufactured close to the date of purchase. Natural dairy gifts, such as cheeses, however, must be purchased and delivered by hand to prevent spoilage that could occur from delivery delays.
