Make Verizon Ringtones With Itunes

Like most cellular providers, Verizon services offer ringtone donwloads available for purchase. While these ringtones are relatively cheap at around $3, the selection is somewhat limited and the price can get fairly high when purchasing many ringtones. Some users wish to bypass this price and make their own ringtones from any song that they want, and using the iTunes media player is one popular way of doing this.

Instructions

1. Select a song you would like to use as a ringtone and click on it in your iTunes.

2. Right click the song and select "Get Info" in the pop-up menu. Click "Options" in the new window and change the starting and ending time of the song to a clip of 30 seconds or less, as this is the length allowed by Verizon phones as ringers.

3. Click "OK" to close the "Options" box and click "Edit" on the upper bar menu of your iTunes. Click "Preferences" in the "Edit" menu and click "Import Settings" on the first screen of the new window.

4. Click "Import as AAC" and your song will be copied in Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) format, which is most compatible with Verizon phones as ringtones. A new AAC copy of your clip will appear next to the original in your iTunes library.

5. Import the song to your phone using either a USB cable, a ringtone uploading site or an e-mail message.
