The intense heat of the summer sun, along with mosquitoes, leaves and other environmental factors, can compromise the enjoyment of a swimming pool. Instructions
1. Use a metal cutting saw to cut the metal poles to fit the desired height of your pool screen enclosure, if they are not already the correct height.
2. Dig holes for in the ground for the poles. Don't worry about the holes being too large for the poles to fit securely. You will solve that dilemma in another step.
3. Place the poles into the holes. To ensure a tight but not firm fit, hammer the poles into place. The poles should be only slightly loose after you finish this step.
4. Mix the concrete and water in a 5-gallon bucket. Pour the sack of concrete into the 5-gallon bucket, and mix according to the manufacturer's instructions.
5. Pour the concrete into each of the holes. The concrete should come to just below the surface of each hole. If needed, use the shovel to smooth the concrete. Allow the holes to set and dry for 2 or 3 days.
6. Unroll the screen wire over the outer area of the poles. Use four sheet metal screws on each pole--two at the top and two at the bottom to secure the wire onto the poles. Leave the segment nearest to the pool ladder and deck open to allow for entry into the pool.
