" boasts dozens of activities to distract yourself with, including bug collecting. The game features insects ranging from ants to mosquitoes, as well as household pests such as cockroaches and flies. To get rid of cockroaches, you can simply step on them. But to get rid of a fly, you need to catch it with the insect net. As with most items in the game, you can purchase the net at Tom Nook's Shop.
Instructions
1. Go to Tom Nook's Shop. The exact location varies from game to game, but he's somewhere in town.
2. Speak with him to see his inventory. If you're lucky, he's selling a net. If not, return on another day.
3. Equip the net by pressing the "A" button.
4. Approach the fly slowly. If you move too quickly, it will buzz away.
5. Push "A" to swing the net. Repeatedly tap the button to improve your odds of catching the fly. If it gets away, slowly approach it and try swinging your net some more.
