Find A Revolutionary War Reenactment

If you're a colonial history buff, you are probably interested in the Revolutionary War. Fought throughout the eastern United States, the battles of this war are often memorialized at the battlefields, in small towns and at fairs in reenactments. You can also participate by finding a reenactment near you. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Contact a local reenactment group and ask for information on upcoming events.


2. Check newspaper advertisements to find out if there will be reenactments are any fairs, carnivals, or other events in your area.


3. Call battlefield sites. Often, they have tourist information about reenactments that will be taking place throughout the year.


4. Search the Internet for events featuring reenactments.


5. Compile all of your information to verify dates and times.


6. Choose a battle that interests you. Reenactments that are popular include Valley Forge and Lexington/Concord.


7. Contact event organizers to get directions to and from the site of the reenactment.
