Decorate A Mosquito Net For A Baby'S Room

For a coordinated look, match the felt cutouts to the mobile.

Protect your baby from biting bugs in a charming way. A mosquito net is completely effective in preventing bugs from reaching your baby's crib; protecting her from mosquitoes and annoying flies without any harmful chemicals. Decorate the net to make it a charming addition to the nursery's decor. Use flowers to dress up the net for a girl's room. Cute insect toys add charm to a net intended for a boy. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Draw three different 4-inch-long leaf shapes on paper.

2. Cut 21 leaves from light green felt and 7 leaves from medium green felt using the drawings as a pattern. Cut several shapes using each pattern.

3. Use hot glue to attach the leaves around the outside of the hoop at the top of the mosquito net. Glue the leaves over the netting. Overlap the leaves about 1 1/2 to 2 inches. Vary the color, shape and orientation of the felt leaves as you go around the circle.

4. Glue six silk flowers or artificial insects around the hoop over the leaves, if desired, to reflect your nursery decor.

5. Attach curling ribbons in coordinating colors to hang down the sides, if desired, by putting a dab of hot glue on one end of a piece of ribbon and attaching it in between the felt shapes. Create one bunch, or space ribbons evenly around the hoop.
