Treat a Tarantula Bite
Tarantulas are not normally aggressive spiders, which is why many people keep them as pets. But if you do get bitten by a tarantula, the wound will look and feel much like a bee sting. Here's treat it.
Instructions
1. Remove dirt from the wound by washing the bite with soap and water to prevent infection.
2. Mix a small amount of powdered meat tenderizer with a few drops of water to make a paste.
3. Apply the paste to the bite by soaking a cotton ball in the mix and holding it to the bite.
4. Use an ice cube if you don't have meat tenderizer. This will numb the area and reduce swelling, leaving you feeling better in no time.
5. Don't panic if a tarantula bites you or someone nearby. Despite what you may have seen in some movies, tarantula bites aren't fatal unless you're allergic. Most people will not have an allergic reaction to a tarantula bite. If you do, take an antihistamine immediately and call 9-1-1.
