Garlic Pepper Instecticide Directions

Organic pest control may be easier than you think.

Organic gardening can get a little tricky when it comes to controlling unwanted pests on your vegetables, fruits and flowers. However, there are concoctions that you can prepare from ingredients in your own kitchen that can help you control pest infestations. One of those preparations is a spray made from garlic and pepper. Although spicy, this spray is nontoxic and poses no threat to the environment, and mixing up a batch takes just a few minutes. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Place the two garlic bulbs and the two hot peppers into your blender. Add water until the blender jar is about one-half to two-thirds full. Blend the ingredients until the garlic and peppers are liquefied.

2. Line the funnel with either a coffee filter or cheese cloth, and place the filter into the neck of one of the gallon jugs.

3. Pour the garlic-pepper mixture from the blender jar through the funnel and into the gallon jug. Discard the strained remains.

4. Fill the gallon container containing the garlic-pepper mixture to the top with water. You now have a gallon of spray concentrate.

5. Mix the spray you will use on your garden plants by adding one-quarter cup of your concentrate to one gallon of fresh water. Pour this mixture into your spray bottle.

6. Spray the prepared mixture anywhere in your garden where insects are a problem to control infestations.
