Copy Wav Files To Powerpoint Presentations

In a PowerPoint presentation, the slides usually do the "speaking" for the speaker, with room for bullet points, images, photos and plenty of text. However, PowerPoint's capabilities also stretch to actually doing the speaking with the inclusion of sound/audio files. Import audio files such as high-quality Waveform Audio Format (WAV) files into PowerPoint with a couple of clicks, just as you would copy other elements into the slideshow, and let the presentation do the talking.

Instructions

1. Open PowerPoint. To copy WAV files into an existing presentation, click the "File" tab and select "Open." Navigate to the presentation to receive the WAV file and double-click the file name. Scroll to the slide where the WAV file should go.

2. Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the work space. Click the "Audio" button on the right side of the ribbon/toolbar. Click "Audio from File" to open the "Insert Audio" window.

3. Browse to the location where the WAV file is stored. Double-click the WAV file to close the "Insert Audio" window and insert the file onto the slide. An icon indicator and toolbar buttons are added to the slide and the blue "Audio Tools" tab opens at the top of the work space.
